With over twenty years of progressive executive level experience, Melanie has earned her reputation as a poised and highly collaborative, innovative thinker and influencer. Melanie is focused on supporting organizations and leaders in identifying and reducing organizational risk, improving operational and governance practices and guiding leaders through challenges.
With a passion for developing strategy, attaining goals and building teams, Melanie has raised more than $80 million for vital healthcare needs and ground-breaking research in the Ottawa region. She has successfully led and completed capital campaigns which have resulted in transformational redevelopment and the acquisition of cutting-edge healthcare technology.
In keeping with her core belief that credibility is built through accountability and transparency, Melanie Adams led the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation through the process of the Imagine Canada’s Standards Program resulting in the achievement of Accreditation. This was the first healthcare organization in Ottawa to achieve this coveted demonstration of excellence.
Melanie is also a member of the board for the Ottawa Art Gallery and director of the board for Kind Canada.
