4 Steps Are Needed During a Strategic Planning Process

Your strategic planning process should include the following steps:

  1. Who you are (beliefs, vision/mission)
  2. Where you stand (SWOT analysis)
  3. Where you want to go (strategic goals)
  4. How you will meet your goals (actions, tasks and accountability)

Critical to the success of your strategic planning are measurable targets and the means to collect performance data. Doing so ensures that beyond implementing the plan and achieving milestones, there is a methodology in place to evaluate and quantify outcomes.

If you need insightful analysis of your planning process, we’re here to help.
