Karin Zabel brings over 25 years of financial management experience to her clients. She has held senior leadership positions in both the public and private sectors and has exceptional skills in Financial management, Strategic planning, Board governance and Risk management.

Karin has served as Vice President Finance, CFO for two federal Crown Corporations. In this capacity, she has led the implementation of enterprise risk management programs, and established a robust financial management framework for reporting and performance measurement.  With respect to corporate governance, she has developed guidelines for audit and pension committees of the board to ensure appropriate oversight and accountability, and led an IT Governance committee. Her work has also included the establishment of offices in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific (including China).

Karin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Chartered Accountant. In addition, she is also a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.  Her volunteer work has included serving as President of Big Sisters and she is currently a Director, and chair of the Audit Committee, of Tradex Management Inc.
